Первая часть F.E.A.R. вышла из под пера разработчиков из компании Monolith в 2005-м году на PC и поразила геймеров и журналистов великолепной для того времени графикой, хорошей системой укрытий, на редкость умным AI и атмосферой страха. Консольные порты появились лишь через два года.
